Kuala Besut is the other main departure point for Pulau Perhentian. It serves multiple operators with frequent departures — ideal if you are travelling from Kuala Lumpur or southern Malaysia.
Multiple operators serve Kuala Besut with frequent departures throughout the day during peak season (March–October). Boats connect to both Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. During monsoon season (November–February), services are typically suspended or heavily reduced.
Note: NASROM Travel & Tours does not operate from Besut. Our boats depart from Jeti Tok Bali in Kelantan.

Tok Bali is better if you are coming from Kota Bharu or the north, and offers premium facilities including a lounge, restaurant, and parking. Besut is more convenient if you are coming from KL or southern Malaysia, with more frequent boat departures.
